Beyond where the ski-lift draws your eye are feet of fresh powder, quietly glistening and waiting for your skis to be whisking over it. On this backcountry skiing adventure, a Peregrine Expedition guide will meet you in the morning in the town of Glacier and then lead you up the mountain. You'll trek past the status quo ski-areas and into the most amazing snow you've ever skied. Beginners will be introduced to everything they need to know: Introductions to Touring equipment, avalanche rescue equipment, review of skills needed to ski on your own in the backcountry, introduction to avalanche bulletin, uphill ski techniques and movement skills, downhill travel techniques and movement skills. More advanced skiers will be guided to finding the best quality snow and terrain of the day appropriate for the group's skill level, fitness and snowpack stability. These winter days aren't getting longer...but they sure are getting cooler.

One experience can be purchased per person, multiple may be purchased as gifts. Expires May 15, 2012-subject to snow conditions. Reservations required 24 hours in advance, subject to availability. Minimum age is 15. All participants need to have good cardiovascular health.
Beginner dates: December 10th; January 7; 21; February 4; 10; 17 (Spring dates TBD).
Advanced dates: January 3; 13; 16; 27; February 5; 12; 19; 27 (Spring dates TBD).
