Images printed on slate are ideal for outdoor scenes, cherished images or your favorite vacations. Slate is Picture It On Canvas's newest substrate that combines rustic slate with full-color photographs. The images have a natural durability and are beautiful. Slate is a fine-grained sediment rock with uniform thickness and a flat top. Each rock is hand-chiseled. Therefore, every piece is unique!


• For $15, you get a 6"x8" rectangular slate with stand - a $35 value

Picture It prints your image on special paper. Then, they heat the paper tight against the rock and heat at 400 degrees. The inks actually turn into a gas and are transferred "into" the rock. They become part of the rock! The finished product is beautiful and the images are spectacular. The finished rock is very durable. It is scratch resistant as the image actually becomes part of the rock. However, it will scratch if you intentionally try hard enough so don't do that!
